The Location
This stone village house is located in an attractive non-touristy village, the nearest town being Spili some 15 minutes drive away.
The village offers kaffenions and a taverna and is on the edge of
the Amari Valley, which is reportedly one of the most beautiful
parts of Crete. In this day and age of the motor car it is less
likely to call an isolated village and a short maintain drive will take you to Spili
with it's shops and restaurants,
Rethymno only a further 25 minutes drive.
The Property
The picture (right) shows the entrance completely overgrown by a
grape vine. This property has immediate access from the main
village road and is connected to main drains, although the
electricity supply requires re-connection.
 Access to the first floor is by an outside staircase
or an internal wooden staircase. The 1st floor offers two large
rooms and access onto a large terrace and views of the village and
immediate countryside. The ground floor offers three rooms and a
mostly enclosed garden area which currently has an outside
toilet.
This property would need to be renovated to European standards
which we would estimate to be at a cost of around €35,000
euros. This would then provide an attractive property for all round
living in an attractive part of the island.
