SALE IN CRETE APPROX 70 COVERS
(ideal business opportunity for low outlay)
Price - €withdrawn
The Location
This café is located on a main route through the Apokoronas
and therefore although in a quiet leafy village location which
slows down the traffic, there is a guarantied passing trade. We see
this as a golden opportunity to purchase an established business
for reasonable outlay with good prospects for growth in
turnover.
The Main House
Current Rent 700 euros per month rising to 800 euros per month from
January 2007. 2 years 5 months remaining on current lease,
renewable after negotiation.
We have received instructions to market this very attractive and
busy café due to the current ill health of the seller. This
local English businessman started this venture only recently, and
has turned the premises into a very attractive dining area with
lovely atmosphere, catering to both local
Greek residents and the large ex pat population residing in this
part of the Apokoronas. All the initial hard work has been done,
creating comfortable seating, setting up the catering side of the
business and developing a regular clientele who come for an
enjoyable and convivial evening in attractive surroundings.
The existing license allows for the selling of beverages and to
serving mezze type food including the usual Greek favourites of
kleftico and Stifado. There are no restrictions on hours of opening
and it has yet to be seen but it is expected that the local
population will welcome this addition to be able to eat out during
the winter months. The kitchen is spotless and very well equipped
to provide the popular current service. Equipment includes
microwaves, 4 stainless steel sinks, deep fat fryer, 4 ring hob,
oven. fridge, freezer, lockable storage for food etc. a beer
dispenser will be provided free of charge to whomever you chose to
supply your beer and there is also red and white wine barrel and
dispenser. In addition to the above is a traditional wood fired
grill where food can be watched being prepared
During the long hot summer months,
eating outside is never a problem but the winter evenings can be
chilly. Approx half the outside seating can be enclosed during the
winter months by the use of roller blinds and an outside wood
burning stove will keep this area warm for the diners. When the sun
comes out during January, great, just roll the blinds up.
