The Villa
Experience unique holidays for all seasons in two traditional,
independent, stone-built apartments that date back to 1810. The
apartments were sympathetically restored in 2003, maintaining a lot
of the original Cretan architecture. This place offers a real trip
back in time, but with all of the modern comforts.
There are two apartments each having its own courtyard, as well as
terraces with unhindered view. The eye travels through the green of
the perennial trees towards the breathtaking distant view of the
"Lefka Or" and the Cretan Sea. A 30min car journey will take you to
either the north of south coasts
There is an outdoors (5m x 10m) swimming pool, as well as barbecue
facilities.
The daily house cleaning, as well as the air-conditioning are
included in the price. Even though both apartments have excellent
cooking facilities, breakfast, lunch and evening meals can be
provide by the owner at an extra charge. This can be arrange with
the owner during you stay, the price dependent upon the type of
meal required.
The local area
The Roustika mountains are ideal for biking and mountaineering
having superb gorges and abundant vegetation: The European trackway
E4 run through this area. The lovely ancient towns of Lappa,
Argiroupolis, and lake Kournas, all of which are only a 15 to 20
minutes drive have unique natural beauty.
During the summer, many traditional festivals take place in the
nearby area, guests having the opportunity to experience
traditional Cretan music and dancing.
