Villa Emilia - Plaka Crete
Villa Emilia has a perfect location making it an ideal holiday base for sun
worshippers as well as walkers and anyone wanting to explore this beautiful part
of Western Crete. Situated overlooking the popular Cretan village of Plaka with
stunning views of Souda Bay to the front of the villa and the White mountains to
the south. The villa is 5 minutes walk (uphill) from the village square where
you will find a number of tavernas and bars as well as a couple of minimarkets.
The nearest beach is at Almirida, just a couple of minutes drive from the villa.
The beautiful Venetian harbour town of Chania is approx 23 kms to the west and
is accessible by car or public transport.
Villa Emilia is a two bedroom, detached, two storey property on a small
development sharing a central pool with 4 other villas. It is set in its own
gardens and has a large private sun terrace a few steps from the swimming pool.
There is car parking close to the villa. The villa is fully air conditioned with
units that also operate as heaters for the winter months, there is
double-glazing and patio and window shutters which makes the villa suitable for
a stay at any time of the year.
The bedrooms are both on the first floor, one double and one twin. Both bedrooms
have fitted wardrobes and the double room also has a settee and a dressing
table. There are furnished balconies leading off both bedrooms with views
overlooking the village and Souda Bay, great for dining al fresco or watching
the sun go down. The villa is equipped with a safe and a hairdryer is provided.
The main bathroom with bath, shower, basin and w.c. is on the first floor.
On the ground floor there is a fitted kitchen and open plan living /dining area
with sofas, TV, DVD player and a dining table and chairs to seat 6 people. One
of the two sofas converts to a bed to sleep up to two people.
The kitchen is comprehensively equipped with everything you need including a
microwave, full cooker with oven, grill and a 4 ring hob, fridge/freezer,
washing machine, toaster, coffee maker etc. There is a second bathroom on this
floor with shower, wc and basin.
Outside the furnished terraces and patios offer a choice of shade or sun
throughout the day, steps from the upper patios lead down to the large private
sun terrace where sun beds and a BBQ are provided. This area is surrounded by
oleanders, fruit trees and colourful geraniums. Access to the pool is a few
steps away through the private gate (which can be locked) and which therefore
makes this villa a good choice for those families with young children. |
